1.  Group Meditation Sessions: 4, 11, 18 & 25 May (Sun), 9.30 am – 6.30 pm
     Group meditation will be conducted on every Sunday of the month from 9.30 am to 6.30 pm.  Lunch will be provided for all yogis. Attendance is by registration only. Yogis have to register by Friday every week.  To register, sms or call Saw Lai Sein 98520817 or Kyaw Han 96199540.

2. Sutta Class : Saturdays 10, 17, 24, 31 May, 7.30 pm – 9 pm
A series of Sutta discussions (in English) will be conducted by Sayadaw U Sajjanalankara (Dvipitakadhara) as follows:
 Topic: Ganaka-Moggallana Sutta (Majjhima Nikaya)
           (A discourse on Graduated Spiritual Path)
Date :   Saturdays, 10, 17, 24 & 31 May 2014
Time:   7.30 pm - 9 pm at SMC

Synopsis: 
Ganaka-Mogallana Sutta, A discourse on graduated spiritual path as explained by the Lord Buddha. The Sutta is a simple explanation with a clear outline on practical actions for the spiritual development for those wishing to understand basic tenet and fundamental courses of nurturing a wholesome mental development spelled out by Lord Buddha himself. It is a no non-sense approach applicable by everyone who want to set out on the spiritual journey toward purification and development of the mind, attainment of inner peace and a lasting happiness of the mind. It is a truly feasible and practicable path for those living amid daily chaos and distraction where the mind is under constant strain of bombardment by external as well as internal stimulations and distractions. It is a discourse simply explained and lucidly understandable.
We invite you to come and join in enriching your knowledge and improving your mind for further progress.
Venerable Sayadaw U Sajjanalankara (Dvipitakadhara) is a well-versed in Buddhist texts and a highly learned monk who has studied Buddhist texts for many years. He is an academic skilled in all major Theravada Buddhist Pali scriptures along with relevant commentaries and sub-commentaries.  He is now based in Satipatthana Meditation Centre, Singapore, while sometimes travelling to North America to conduct meditation retreats and meditation workshops.

3.   Vesak Day Celebration: 13 May, Tuesday at 9.30 am
       We will be celebrating Vesak Day (Buddhist Era 2558) on 13 May to mark the Birth, Enlightenment and Parinibbana of our Lord Gotama Buddha. Do join us on this special occasion. We wish everyone a Happy Vesak Day! May the Blessings of the Triple Gem shower upon all!

4.  ‘Light a Lantern’ for Vesak : 13 May 2014  
“Giving food, one gives strength; giving clothes, one gives beauty; giving a vehicle, one gives ease; giving a lamp, one gives sight.  The one who gives a residence is the giver of all” – Sagathavagga, Devatasamyutta Lanterns will be lit at the premises for the celebration of Vesak Day. Sponsorship for each lantern is $30.
